Join us for our first Global Youth Summit-“Fighting for Women Internationally” December 11th

Attention Students! Join our Global Youth Summit on December 11th via Zoom and be a part of students coming together from around the world commemorating Human Rights Day 2021. Organized by students, for students!

By popular demand, the theme of the day will be “Fighting for Women Internationally”. Students will have the opportunity to listen to Pakistani human rights leader Ghina Mehr, a powerhouse activist in the space of women’s human security and gender issues; University Of Buffalo Professor Ryan Rish about media literacy so that students can learn more about navigating our ever-evolving digital world; as well as break into groups with students from around the globe to discuss an important women’s rights topic of their choice and gain inspiration to take steps for action in their community.

The event will be held from 9:30 AM – 2 PM EST via zoom, hosted by the Academy for Human Rights and the Capital Region Institute for Human Rights. To ensure the safety of our students, each student will need to list a teacher at their school as a reference, but no reference letter is needed.
